This is a rumor that has been going around for a few days, gaining strenght. Apparently, a storyboard for the 1st episode of an LC anime is in production by Kurumada. This storyboard would then be presented to a proper producer, with Toei and Xebec being the most likely names. A decision is expected to be taken around the time of LC chapter 100, in about 5 months (shortly after the end of the Elysion).
The opening (8th sense) and ending (wall of lamentations) have already been written. The biggest doubt appears to be the graphic style. They need to decide if they want to follow Shiori's or the classic one (keeping in mind that Araki has announced multiple times that he will leave StS after Elysion-Hen, due to the difficulties involved in animating and drawing the ever more complicated cloths).

Well, if that is true, I'd be more than happy! And if they would follow Shiori's style if Araki isn't available anymore, that would be fine, too, as I think she does a great job with the char designs.

As I said in the italian section, I wouldn't expect terrific news about a new anime Anime blog all around the web didn't post anything concerning this topic. And don't forget that just 2 weeks ago in Tokyo, it took place one of the most valuable event in the anime world, the Anime fair 2008. There was a preview about the whole year and even some rumors concerning anime that we will see in 2009... I hope that theese rumors could become official news but please, PLEASE... don't let Xebec do the animation They screw up everything beyond 10-12 episodes! Anyway, whoever will work on the anime, we have to hope that money won't end soon: I absolutely won't look forward for something like Elysion-hen

Well, if they want to wait until LC chapter 100 to say anything definitive, we'd have to wait until August/September anyway until there is any official news. But I would definitely love to see Manigoldo in animated version

i would lve to see lc animated to. though it is not original and done by kurumada as long as it is ok with him it would be great to see.
